2016 Asia Conference on Economics & Business Research (ACEB 2016)

The 2016 Asia Conference on Economics & Business Research (ACEB), is jointly organized by Asia Pacific International Academy and Aventis School of Management. ACEB 2016 will be held on the 24 & 25 November 2016 in Concord Hotel Singapore, which aims to bring together leading experts, students and practitioners from Asia and the rest of the world to share their expertise and experiences. Our goal is to create opportunities for international research collaborations, scientific information interchange and facilitate relationship building in the Economics and Business disciplines.
The topics discussed will include Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Financial Economics, Accounting and Economics, Organizational Behaviour, Marketing, Business Ethics, General Management, Strategic Management, Operations Management, Public Sector Management, and other related topics.
All submissions will be peer reviewed and evaluated based on originality, technical and/or research content/depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability. Submissions will be chosen based on technical merit, interest, applicability, and how well they fit a coherent and balanced technical program.
Conference Proceedings in Partnership with World Scientific Publishing and Springer Science+Business Media
ACEB 2016 Conference Proceedings will be in partnership with World Scientific Publishing, which co-founded the London-based Imperial College Press with London University’s Imperial College. In 2006, the Press became a wholly-owned subsidiary of World Scientific. The Press publishes mainly in the fields in which Imperial College itself is particularly well-known, such as Engineering, Medicine, Information Technology, Environmental Technology, and Management Sciences. Imperial College Press has published about 650 books and 8 journals to date. World Scientific is also the exclusive distributor for The National Academies Press (based in Washington, D.C.) in Asia-Pacific (except Japan, New Zealand and Australia). Once you have registered for the conference and your abstract is accepted, you are encouraged to submit a full paper for inclusion in the official conference proceedings published on the website. Final papers should be uploaded through the submissions system.
ACEB 2015 Conference Proceedings was in cooperation with Springer. Springer is a global publishing company that publishes books, e-books and peer-reviewed journals in science, technical and medical (STM) publishing. Springer also hosts a number of scientific databases, including SpringerLink, Springer Protocols, and SpringerImages. Book publications include major reference works, textbooks, monographs and book series; more than 168,000 titles are available as e-books in 24 subject collections. Springer has major offices in Berlin, Heidelberg, Dordrecht, and New York City.

Authors will be notified of the selection results by email and will receive all technical information and presentation instructions prior to the Conference.
Step 1: Check Format and Error before Submission
ACEB committee recommends that every manuscript should be thoroughly reviewed for grammatical and spelling errors prior to submission.
Abstract should not exceed 250 words with the information of paper’s background, methodology, findings and conclusions. The abstract should also contain all the keywords and key phrases at least once and more than once if necessary. Here below is the Abstract Template for your reference.
Step 2: Submit Abstract / Proposal
*Submit Online before September 30, 2016
Author need to submit only ONE abstract/proposal to the online system, Easychair which is the conference-system website for ACEB 2016. Author will be asked to create own personal account before uploading abstract/proposal, and they are free to use the system to edit the information and submission.
- Select “Submit a new version” from the right hand menu of the Submission screen.
- Select ‘Choose File’ and upload the Microsoft Word file containing your full paper to upload.
- Click ‘Submit a New Version’.
Step 3: Get Acceptance Letter and Submit Copy Right Form
If the abstract is accepted by the conference committee, author will get an Acceptance Letter and Copy Right Form. Upon completed payment of the registration fee, the paper will be scheduled for oral presentation in the conference.
Author need to sign the copyright form and upload it with full paper to Easychair before October 21, 2016. Please notice that the papers without signed copyright forms will not be considered for publishing in conference proceedings.
Step 4: Submit Final Paper

If your abstract is accepted for oral presentation, you are encouraged to submit a full paper by October 21, 2016. The full article should be submitted in Word (NOT pdf). Final papers should be uploaded through the submissions system. Please ensure that your paper is ready to go to press by the submission deadline, having thoroughly read the paper for errors.
To facilitate easier processing, reviewing, and publishing of all submissions, please follow this checklist, if English is not your first language.

- Single-spacing throughout the document
- Double space (instead of indent

- Top, bottom, and side margins no less than 7/8 of an inch or 2.2 cm
- Cover page that includes title, author’s/authors’ affiliation(s), contact information, and topic of the submission
- Title, authors and affiliations repeated at the beginning of the body of the paper
- Manuscript not to exceed 5000 words (excluding tables, figures and references)
Manuscripts longer than 5,000 words will be returned for editing
- Graphs and visuals can be reproduced electronically
The Conference Proceedings will be published with World Scientific Publishing. World Scientific Publishing is one of the few publishers with direct partnership with Google to assure your book, including contents, can be easily searched and found from the internet. We believe firmly in wide discovery and indexing of our publications. The Conference proceedings will be submitted to Amazon Search inside the Book, ISI Book Citation Index, OCLC, EBSCOHOST, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), and Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index where applicable.
To register yourself in conference, you need to pay conference fee. The registration fee, in US dollar is due in advance from all participants including authors. Once we received payment authorization from our bank, you will receive an e-mail confirming your registration. The conference is open to all who wish to make an oral presentation. Participants must register and attend the conference in order to present their paper. Non-presenting observer who wants to attend the conference should register as Observer (Participant ONLY).
It is not possible to pay the registration fee after the conference. Conference sessions are open only to registered participants. Each presenting participant is limited to two papers, either oral or as poster presentation. To assure your participation in the conference and inclusion of your paper in the conference proceedings, your registration fee must before deadline. If your registration will be late, or if you have difficulties making the payments on time, please contact our office or send us an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org to make suitable arrangements.

For any cancellation before November 15th, 2016, a USD 100 cancellation fee will be deducted. There will be no refunds for cancellations received after this date. The registration fee must be paid before the due date. If none of the authors of a paper register by the due date, their paper will not be listed in the Conference Program nor will it be published in the Conference Proceedings. The ACEB reserves the right to cancel or postpone the conference in the case of natural disaster, strike, government regulation or any other unpredictable event making it impossible to hold the conference. If a conference has been cancelled, the ACEB will only be responsible for returning the participant´s registration fee.

2016 Keynote Speaker
Richard Jerram is Chief Economist for Bank of Singapore where he is responsible for analysing and forecasting global macro developments, as well as being a key member of the investment committee. He joined Bank of Singapore in June 2011.
Richard has been working as an economist for nearly three decades, initially in Tokyo during the late 1980s bubble, followed by a period running Asia-Pacific forecasting for the Economist Intelligence Unit in London and then studying for a doctorate at the LSE. He returned to Japan with ING Securities in 1996, which was acquired by Macquarie Securities in 2004. In 2009, Richard was appointed Head of Asian Economics and was based in Singapore.
Richard has a BSc from University College London and MSc and PhD from the London School of Economics. He is also a CFA charterholder.Dr. Richard Jerram

Dr Alan Bollard is the Executive Director of the APEC Secretariat based in Singapore, the body that promotes trade, investment and sustainable economic growth in the Asia-Pacific. Dr Bollard advances APEC’s agenda by executing APEC’s work programmes as mandated by Leaders and Ministers. Prior to joining APEC, Dr Bollard was the Governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand from 2002 to 2012. In that position, he was responsible for monetary policy and bank regulations, helping steer New Zealand through the global financial crisis.Dr Alan Bollard

Professor Sterling Huang joined Singapore Management University in 2014. He taught Financial Accounting (MBA) in INSEAD in 2013. Professor Huang received his Master of Science and PhD in Finance from INSEAD Business School. Prior to his doctoral studies, he was an auditor with PricewaterhouseCooper (PwC) and a lecturer with Macquarie University Australia. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of Institute of Chartered Accountant Australia.
Professor Sterling Huang’s interests lie in the area of Corporate Governance, Family Firms and Analyst Forecast research. Professor Huang is also an ad hoc reviewer for European Accounting Review, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of Empirical Finance, etc.

Conference Chair Keynote Speaker
Dr. Luis J. Hall is an assistant professor in economics and finance at the Department of Economics of Universidad de Alicante in Spain. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. from New York University. Dr. Hall held previous positions in the New York State Banking Department, as external researcher for the World Bank and Inter-American Developing Bank and formerly taught at New York University. He has been a consultant for several banks focusing his research primarily on credit and credit default. His research interests lies in corporate finance, sovereign risk, interest rate, international economics and international financial markets.Professor Luis Hall
